George E. Logue has a BS degree in agricultural
engineering specializing in power equipment and machines at
Penn State University. As mentioned above he was employed as
a machine design engineer by Sprout Waldron Division of Koppers, Inc. Mr. Logue, Sr. was also employed by
International Harvester, Inc. as assistant manager of
field-testing.
G. E. Logue is also a father of 10 and grandfather to 32
children. George's children have continued with his spirit as
all of them have their own businesses. Mr. Logue is also a
helicopter (250 hours) and multi-engine (4000+ hours)
instrument qualified airplane pilot. He also holds five
United State's patents.
George's greatest hobby is the collection and restoration
of antique Caterpillar
tractors and equipment. At the Logue farm, north of
Montoursville, PA, George houses over 100 tractors, graders,
and other equipment. His collection is one of the largest in
the world (the largest on the East Coast) with equipment on
display at the Smithsonian, Washington D.C., USA, and in the
Zepplin Works in Germany.
Mr. Logue was also instrumental in the building of two
submarine memorials; one in Japan and the other in
Williamsport, PA. These memorials were built in remembrance
of George's brother, Robert Baier Logue, who died aboard the
US submarine Wahoo in Japanese Harbor during WWII. These
memorials are also dedicated to all service men and women
lost to the ravages of war.
A note from G. E. Logue, Sr.
